About Winchester
Clark County plans Winchester together with Paradise; its planning page describes the two as 30,321 acres near the center of the Las Vegas valley, each an unincorporated town administered by the county. Winchester is the smaller of the pair by far. Clark County's 2025 estimate puts Winchester at 34,127 residents, compared with 192,531 in Paradise.
Winchester has its own Town Advisory Board, and county agendas place the Convention Center Drive area within Winchester. That puts many Winchester businesses close to convention and visitor traffic.
Police and alarm response
As part of unincorporated Clark County, Winchester is policed by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department. LVMPD's FAQ says that for burglar alarms the monitoring company dispatches a guard, and the department broadcasts the alarm but does not dispatch a unit, although an available officer may respond by choice. LVMPD's Convention Center Area Command patrols the area from Sahara Avenue to Russell Road between Valley View Boulevard and Swenson Street; LVMPD says it includes the Strip corridor.
What that means for you: an alarm by itself isn't the whole plan. We pair alarms with cameras and video verification so our monitoring center can see what triggered the signal, and we can talk with you about patrol response.
Upgrades and takeovers
If your Winchester home or building already has an older panel or keypad, you may not need to start over. We:
- Evaluate the panel, sensors, wiring, and communicator
- Keep what is in good condition and connect it to our monitoring
- Replace only what needs it, usually with our standard Qolsys IQ Panel 5, which is dual-path with a built-in cellular communicator and includes a backup battery for power outages
Monitored systems are on a 3 year agreement, explained before you sign.
What we install in Winchester
For businesses
Shops, restaurants, offices, and service businesses near the convention area need to protect after-hours entrances, cash areas, and parking. We install business security systems, video surveillance, access control for staff doors, and remote guarding, where live professionals watch your cameras and respond as activity happens. Our licensed fire team handles fire alarm monitoring and inspections; the Clark County fire code fee schedule lists a $500 nuisance alarm fee, so keeping fire systems maintained pays off.
For homes
Home security systems with door, window, and motion sensors; smart home cameras and video doorbells; and smart locks, all monitored 24/7 by our UL-listed monitoring center.
Nearby: Paradise, Whitney, and Sunrise Manor. See all areas served from our Las Vegas office.
