Paradise is Clark County, not the City of Las Vegas

Many visitors and even residents assume the Strip is in Las Vegas. It isn't. According to UNLV's Center for Business and Economic Research, Paradise includes the famous four miles of the Las Vegas Strip, and Clark County's budget documents place Allegiant Stadium within the unincorporated Town of Paradise. Clark County describes Paradise and neighboring Winchester together as 30,321 acres near the center of the Las Vegas valley. The county's 2025 estimate puts Paradise's population at 192,531.

As an unincorporated town, Paradise is governed by the Clark County Commission, with a Town Advisory Board that gives residents a voice on local issues. Business licensing runs through the county too; Clark County's alarm system business license checklist, for example, lists a $45 application fee and $25 license fee for alarm companies.

Police response in Paradise

Paradise is policed by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, which is responsible for police services in unincorporated Clark County as well as the City of Las Vegas. LVMPD draws its patrol areas by streets rather than town lines. The Convention Center Area Command covers the Strip corridor, from Sahara to Russell Road and the airport, and LVMPD notes its population density is the highest of any area it patrols. Much of the rest of Paradise falls roughly within the South Central Area Command, which includes Harry Reid International Airport.

For burglar alarms, LVMPD's FAQ says the monitoring company dispatches a guard, and the department broadcasts the alarm but does not dispatch a unit, although an available officer may respond by choice. For a Paradise business, that makes verification and a response plan part of the system design, not an afterthought.

Business security in Paradise

Paradise businesses range from restaurants, bars, and retail near the resort corridor to offices, warehouses, and service companies around them. Many run late or around the clock. What we install:

  • Video surveillance for entrances, registers, back-of-house, and parking
  • Remote guarding, where live professionals watch your cameras and respond as activity happens; remote guarding typically costs 60 to 80% less than a full-time on-site security guard
  • Video verification, so our monitoring center can see what triggered an alarm
  • Access control for staff entrances, stockrooms, and offices
  • Business security systems with intrusion detection, monitored 24/7 by our UL-listed monitoring center

Fire protection

Commercial buildings in unincorporated Clark County answer to the Clark County Fire Department, and the county fire code fee schedule lists a nuisance alarm fee of $500. We provide fire alarm monitoring and inspection and maintenance, so the same vendor handles your security and life safety fire protection.

Home security in Paradise

For homes, condos, and townhomes in Paradise, we install home security systems, smart home cameras and video doorbells, and smart locks. Our standard Qolsys IQ Panel 5 has a built-in cellular communicator and a backup battery, so it keeps working through a power outage. Monitored systems are on a 3 year agreement.

Nearby: Winchester, Enterprise, and Spring Valley. Our Las Vegas office serves the whole valley.

★★★★★ Isaac and Isaac from Sting were amazing!!! They showed up on time and even got the installation done before the quoted time. Isaac explained how the system worked in detailed and set up my cameras and doorbell without any issues. I would recommend Sting to anyone looking to upgrade their security system and ask for Isaac.

★★★★★ From the beginning, Sting Alarm has been so easy to work with. From Jeff in Sales, to scheduling, and finally when our tech came out in a Saturday for the installation, everything was seamless. Our tech Isaac was fantastic. He was neat and cleaned up after the installation, and took time with me and my husband to get us set up on the app. He was patient, walking us through all the features.… Read on Google
