North Las Vegas Security Company for Homes and Businesses

Sting Alarm installs and monitors security systems, cameras, access control, and fire alarms for homes and businesses in North Las Vegas, Nevada. North Las Vegas is its own city with its own police and fire departments, and it combines growing neighborhoods with one of the valley's major industrial and logistics areas. We are a locally and independently owned company, founded in Las Vegas in 2003. Call (702) 737-8464 or request a free quote below.

North Las Vegas at a glance

North Las Vegas was incorporated in 1946 and spans more than 104 square miles. The U.S. Census Bureau counted 262,527 residents in 2020 and estimates 296,653 as of July 2025, a gain of more than 34,000 people in five years.

The city is also a business and logistics center. Its economic development office points to Apex Industrial Park, where it says logistics companies "like Crocs, Amazon, and Sephora" have located. North Las Vegas Airport serves as a reliever airport for Harry Reid International, with nearly 700 based aircraft. On the residential side, the city runs Craig Ranch Regional Park, about 170 acres with a 65,000 square foot skate park. The city also includes the Aliante area in the north valley.

Police and alarm rules in North Las Vegas

Because North Las Vegas is a separate city, alarm calls here go to the North Las Vegas Police Department, not to LVMPD, and fire alarms are answered by the North Las Vegas Fire Department. We set the right agency and dispatch details on your monitoring account from the start.

We did not find a residential alarm permit or false alarm fee ordinance in the current municipal code. (If you have read online that North Las Vegas requires a permit under "Chapter 9.48", we could not find that chapter in the code.) Some businesses do have alarm requirements: under NLVMC 5.29.100, cannabis establishments must be monitored by a centrally monitored alarm company properly licensed with the city. Even without a permit program, false alarms waste police time and your own, so we place and test sensors carefully and train everyone who uses the system.

Security for North Las Vegas businesses and industrial sites

Warehouses, distribution centers, yards, and contractors' lots have big perimeters, many doors, and long stretches with no one on site. For those properties we install:

• Business security systems and intrusion detection for doors, dock areas, and offices
• Video surveillance for yards, loading doors, and parking
• Remote guarding, where live professionals watch your cameras and respond as activity happens; remote guarding typically costs 60 to 80% less than a full-time on-site security guard
• Access control for gates, dock doors, and employee entrances, with credentials you can grant and revoke
• Fire alarm monitoring and inspection and maintenance from our licensed fire protection team

Businesses with more than one site can manage them together through our multi-location security setup.

Home security in North Las Vegas

For North Las Vegas homes, we install home security systems with door, window, and motion sensors; smart home cameras and video doorbells for package and porch activity; and smart locks. Every monitored system is watched 24/7 by our UL-listed monitoring center. Our standard Qolsys IQ Panel 5 has a built-in cellular communicator, and every panel gets a backup battery so the system stays online during summer power outages.

Monitored systems are on a 3 year agreement, explained before you sign. If you already have a system, we can evaluate it and often connect the existing equipment to our monitoring.
