Shield Fire & Security Has Merged with Sting Alarm Fire & Security

In January 2023, Sting Alarm acquired Shield Fire and Security, a Las Vegas residential and commercial fire and security company founded in 2009 by John Verville. Shield customers moved to Sting Alarm, which began servicing them immediately. Today they are served by the same local team that provides Sting Alarm's security and fire protection services.
The announcement

Sting Alarm announced today the acquisition of Shield Fire and Security, a Las Vegas-based residential and commercial fire and security business.
Since being founded in 2009 by John Verville, Shield Fire and Security has provided its customers with safety and security solutions backed by strong customer service.
Sting Alarm will take on all Shield Fire and Security customers and begin servicing them immediately during the transition.
"We are pleased to expand our residential and commercial customer base with Shield Fire and Security," said Jon Perry, Sting Alarm President. "John built a great company at Shield and we are excited for the opportunity to service these new customers into 2023 and the future."
This is Sting Alarm's third acquisition in about six months. In July 2022, Sting Alarm acquired Nexsys, a Las Vegas commercial alarm integrator that specialized in the design, installation, and management of security systems for businesses. In December 2022, Sting Alarm acquired Signal Fire, a Las Vegas fire protection company.
These investments in like-minded local businesses expand Sting Alarm's customer base with companies that share the same focus on quality products and customer service.
