Sting Alarm, Inc. Offers Free Installation in Honor of October’s Crime Prevention Month

Henderson, Nevada, October 5, 2011 … The secret phrase is "Crime Prevention Month." Say that to a representative at Sting Alarm, Inc. throughout the month of October, and new residential and small business customers will receive free alarm installation.

Jon Perry, senior vice president, said that October is the perfect time to be on alert. "Crime tends to increase during the holiday season, so we want to help families and business owners deter crime and protect themselves prior to the holidays," said Perry. "Our free installation is giving a great incentive to secure homes and businesses now, rather than waiting."

The company is offering a free basic system install, which includes a master control and keypad, up to three door or window contacts, a motion detector and a siren. The normal activation fee will be waived during this promotion with the signing of a monitoring agreement. Just call, email or send a message through Facebook or Twitter to see if you qualify to receive the special offer (terms and conditions apply).

According to Consumer Reports, it’s important to remain vigilant once you have an alarm. The company surveyed 1,038 U.S. homeowners in February 2011, and found that 43 percent who had an alarm said that they occasionally didn’t turn it on while at home. In addition, 19 percent said that they leave doors at home unlocked and 26 percent occasionally leave windows unlocked when they’re not home. According to "Making a Break-in Too Easy," (Consumer Reports, June 2011), more than half of break-ins aren’t break-ins at all—they’re walk-ins that occur when a door or window is left unlocked.

Sting Alarm, Inc. wants to deter residential and commercial crime, and to do so, the company provides video broadband alarms and the latest technology for the security industry. By offering customers an option to pair alarms with real-time, monitored video surveillance, Sting Alarm, Inc. is able to verify incidents for law enforcement. The company’s goal is to help solve crime as it happens—not just record it.

By offering this month-long deal, Jonathan Fine, president of Sting Alarm, Inc., said he hopes that Sting is able to help keep even more families and businesses safeguard their assets.
"We are very excited to be offering free installation during Crime Prevention Month," said Fine.
