Metro searching for burglars using ruse to steal property from homes caught on Surveilence

LAS VEGAS — Metro detectives with the LVMPD Enterprise Area Command have received two reports of residential burglaries where the same suspects are using a ruse to gain access to single family homes.

Metro has received two reports of the burglaries since Monday.

At approximately 2 p.m. on May 4, 2015, a burglary was reported at a residence located near the area of South Jones Boulevard and Palmyra Avenue.

The elderly victim reported that a male describing himself as a tree trimmer, distracted the victim while two other males entered the residence and took multiple pieces of jewelry.

At approximately 3 p.m. on May 5, 2015, a burglary was reported at a residence located near the area of Rainbow Boulevard and Twain Avenue.
